Civil Engineering Intern for HOLTZMAN DESIGN
Developed green construction and green design methods for a luxury resort in San Felipe Mexico; assessed sewer, road, and building layout to determine changes and the green construction methods to implement them. Drafted project plans for architect, mechanical engineering, and structural engineer layouts as well as aided in model construction.

Civil Engineering Intern for NICOR GAS
Researched the validity of a tangible tool database, went onsite to determine the field workers tool catalog needs via consultations. Designed a layout for a new, updatable, computer-based interactive tool catalog and executed the design by writing the computer program script. Photographed the 2000+ tools then organized and entered the data into the program. Made the final product available online as well as on CD. Maintained Nicor’s summer internship while attending summer class.

Meteorologist/Climatologist Assistant for the ILLINOIS STATE WATER SURVEY
Work with the state of Illinois head climatologist in obtaining, recording, charting, and publishing daily weather data as well maintaining media relations.

Civil Engineering/Statistical Analyst Intern for NICOR GAS
Researched and analyzed an innovative gas regulation technology for viability within Nicor’s system. Researched Nicor’s system as well as the technology, obtained and read maps/overlays of an electrical and gas lines, acquired and analyzed system data, scheduled and held meets, as well as presented the findings and submitted an all inclusive report. Maintained Nicor’s summer internship while attending class fulltime.

Aided in completion of motherboard prototypes; reconfigured packages to suit new designs; aided in clean room duties, worked with electrical engineers to meet benchmarks and deadlines for wireless communication enhancing features/devices.
